SNK Versus Capcom: Match of the Millenium (Sniper)
Genre: 2d Fighter
Developer: SNK
Publisher: SNK

Graphics
Few games push their respective platform harder than this title pushes the NGPC. The graphics, on the whole, are scarcely even a half-notch below a good looking GBA game. The sprite animation quality seems to rival the arcade version of SFIII, and the entire game is exceptionally polished presentationally from top to bottom. I don't think you could make a prettier NGPC game- literally!

Sound
Just like the graphics, the sound in this game pushes the NGPC to its technical bounds. The tunes, mostly coming from former Capcom and SNK games, use every channel of sound available to them. They are extremely melodically elaborate, and very pleasing to listen to, even when not actually playing. You can't do much with the NGPC with regards to SFX, but all of the effects in this game are faithful to formal expectations of the player as they pertain to fighters.

Gameplay
26 playable characters from SNK and Capcom games, several of which are unlockable, the complete arsenal of moves from each one, stage musics for them all, ultra-tight gameplay, and fantastic AI come together to make one of the best fighters I've ever played. And it's on a handheld! There are also a slew of alternate gameplay modes, 3 different modes for super moves, customizable characters, and tag-team modes. Do I even need to go on?

Overall
Whether you like fighters or not, it'd be difficult to deny that this game pushes a platform more than perhaps any other game that comes to mind. Combine the absolute glut of play modes, the wide array of characters, the unlockable goodies, and the absolutely faithful Street Fighter-esque gameplay, and you have one superlative portable fighter. Heck, even the story and dialogue in this game is pretty good! When I reviewed SamSho2 on the NGPC, I said it was the best mobile fighter ever; this game is even better.
